Post 1: Project Development Process
FlexiHeal Application Design
The development of the FlexiHeal application followed a structured design thinking approach, ensuring a balance between functionality and user experience. Below is an overview of our journey:
1. Initial Pitching and Feedback
We started by presenting our initial design concepts to Professor Chong, who appreciated our innovative ideas and provided constructive feedback. Our program director, Yusri, suggested exploring both light and dark themes for the app. After discussing as a team, we decided to prioritize the dark theme, as it resonated most with our vision and user preference.
2. Task Delegation
Our team leader, Angel, divided the tasks into two main sections:
- Patient Section: Handled by Amelia and me.
- Staff Section: Managed by other teammates.
This division of labor allowed us to focus on delivering detailed and user-friendly designs tailored to the specific needs of each user group.
3. Design Research and Inspiration
We studied other healthcare app designs and drew inspiration from their themes and titles. This research helped us incorporate effective elements and innovative ideas into our application.
4. Design and Prototyping
Throughout the design process, we adhered to the dark theme, focusing on usability and visual consistency. We incorporated feedback, fine-tuned our designs, and identified potential issues during the prototyping phase to ensure an intuitive interface.
5. Final Design
The final output featured:
- A cohesive color palette (032F2E, 171717, D9D9D9) to complement the logo and enhance the dark theme.
- A sleek, modern interface designed to meet the needs of patients and staff.
- A seamless workflow that balanced aesthetics with usability.
