The task at hand was seemingly simple – draw a basic cube using 1-3 point perspective. Little did I know, this assignment held the key to unlocking a deeper understanding of spatial relationships and compositional balance in environmental design. The simplicity of a cube served as a canvas for exploring the complexities of perspective.
I carefully chose how to set up my drawing and picked where the lines should go to make the cube look 3D. Every line I drew was on purpose, making the picture feel deep and spacious. It took a lot of planning and paying close attention to details. This taught me that every little thing in environmental design matters and adds to the feeling of the scene.
During the process,i have learned getting the right balance between where things disappear, making sure things looked right when closer, and keeping everything in proportion were ongoing challenges. But, facing and overcoming these difficulties turned out to be a big part of what I learned from this experience.
