Sonic Design : Exercise 1

Exploring Sonic Design through Equalizer Adjustments in Adobe Audition

In my Sonic Design course this semester, we kicked off with an intriguing exercise that allowed us to dive deep into sound manipulation using equalizers. The task involved working with a given original soundtrack, alongside eight different variations of the same track, each altered by various equalizer settings. Our objective was to carefully analyze the changes in these equalized versions and use Adobe Audition to adjust them, attempting to bring each back to match the original as closely as possible.

The Figures below show the changes i have made:

This exercise not only helped us familiarize ourselves with the use of equalizers but also sharpened our ability to recognize subtle sound variations and improve our technical skills in audio editing. Below, I will share the results of my adjustments and the learning experience that came with it.
